PE boosts exam performance

Sometimes students (or parents!) ask if they can miss PE because they need to revise for an 'important exam' or 'to finish their coursework'.

Often they will say 'PE isn't important' or 'I'm not taking this as one of my exam subjects, why do I have to do it now?'

During the stressful time of exams or impending coursework deadlines it is even more vital that students maintain a healthy balance between work, rest and recreation. Revision timetables should always include physical activity as a way to relieve stress, and to clear and refocus the mind between exams or revision sessions. Research shows that students who participate in regular sport or physical activity achieve on average one grade higher in all of their exams.
